After yesterday’s muddy Mustang saga, I made the wise decision to swap horsepower for shuttle seats. An early breakfast gave me just enough energy to dive into what promised to be one of the biggest days of the Simola Hillclimb weekend.
I arrived early, staked out a perfect spot at the start line, and settled in to watch the King of the Hill practice sessions unfold.
And wow.
There’s something about watching these machines launch from a standstill like they’ve got unfinished business with gravity.
The sound?
It wasn’t just loud—it was spiritual.
The kind of thunder you feel in your ribs, that makes your coffee vibrate and your heart beat like it’s part of the engine.
Passenger Princess Mode: Activated
The unexpected highlight of my day?
Sliding into the passenger seat of the new AMG Mercedes C63 and heading up the hill as a VIP guest of MasterDrive and Mercedes-Benz SA.
Let me be very clear:
This car doesn’t climb hills.
It owns them.
From the roar of the turbocharged beast under the hood to the absolute confidence it commanded through every bend—I was grinning like a child and gripping the seat like a secret.
Huge thanks to the teams that made that ride happen. You gave this girl a memory stamped in carbon fiber.
Crowds, Qualifying & Content
After a solid lunch to reset the system, it was time for qualifying—and the crowd showed up loud.
The sun came out to play today, and the hill transformed into a carnival of sound, speed, and sunglasses. Every corner was packed. Every cheer felt like a fuel injection straight into the atmosphere.
And me?
Still rocking my media pass, still capturing content, still soaking in every second.
Being part of the official media crew at Simola Hillclimb is more than just a title—
It’s a bucket list tick.
It’s a “pinch me” moment.
It’s what I was made for.
Media One Day, VIP the Next
For the past few days, I’ve been behind the scenes—filming, documenting, capturing the chaos.
But tomorrow?
Tomorrow I go full VIP.
I’ll be streaming live from the VIP lounge, with a glass of champagne in hand and the hill beneath my feet.
Because when you come all this way, you experience both sides of the lens.
Day 5: Revved, recorded, and remembered.
Simola keeps delivering, and this Drive Diva is just getting started.
